Dr. Shaikh is a board-certified diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiologists. She has been offering global teleradiology services and ultrasonography services to the northern Atlanta region since 2015. She is an active member of the ACVR, most recently speaking at the annual conference about her experiences partnering with specialized sonographers. Additionally she has given lectures at numerous CE conferences, including the Gulf Coast Atlantic Veterinary Conference and the Florida Veterinary Medical Association Conferences, as well as local CE events covering a variety of topics. She completed her diagnostic imaging and radiology residency at UGA, where she had special interest and research in MR imaging, winning “Resident of the Year” awards and being recognized at international meetings for her research. Prior to her residency, she practiced high-quality emergency and critical care medicine as well as general practice in California and Pennsylvania. Dr. Shaikh is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, earning her VMD
in 2007. She now permanently resides in the Atlanta region with her husband and children.

Associate Radiologist
Dr. Adams is a board-certified diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiologists. Prior to joining IVUGA in 2019, he lived in Fort Collins, CO for 10 years and served as a faculty radiologist at the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. In this role, he was highly involved with veterinary intern and resident training, along with helping to educate future veterinarians in diagnostic imaging. Dr. Adams has been invited lecture nationally and internationally on a variety of topics, including at the Colorado State University Annual Conference and the IBVET Conference for the Brazilian Institute of Veterinarians, in addition to ultrasound and teaching labs to veterinarians around the United States. He completed his small animal rotating internship and residency at Colorado State University, while focusing his research efforts primarily on thoracic imaging. His research has involved the areas of soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, oncology, and infectious diseases. Dr. Adams graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, earning his DVM in 2008. A Georgia native, he met his wife Trisha out West and is now thrilled to make their home in Athens, GA as a member of the IVUGA team!

Prior to her studies in ultrasound, Lauren spent countless hours as a veterinary assistant and groomer, and loves pets of all shapes and sizes! An Atlanta area native, she is thrilled to be devoting her skills to veterinary patients in the area.

Stephanie received her AS in Vascular Technology from Georgia Nortwestern Technical College. She previously worked as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) for a human surgical vascular practice. Prior to becoming an RVT, Stephanie worked as a veterinary assistant for over 17 years. Due to her husband being a Navy Veteran, she was able to work as an assistant in multiple states including TN, MS, MD, and GA. Though she enjoyed working with people, she is beyond excited to return to the veterinary world where she can utilize her skills doing what her heart truly desires, helping animals.

Prior to joining the Insight team, Sam spent 5 years dedicated to veterinary imaging as the sonographer for Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services in Rochester, NY (formerly Monroe Veterinary Associates). Before taking the lead on providing both outpatient and inpatient ultrasounds, Sam was a supervisor for 9 years at VSES for both the surgery and emergency services. Sam has over 15 years of extensive veterinary nursing experience with a wide range of technical expertise in addition to his skills in sonography.
